Jenny Ismert
Jenny Ismert is a healthcare executive who has spent more than two decades navigating the beautifully complex world of Medicaid and Medicare, where policy, people, and practical problem-solving collide. Known for translating big ideas into real-world results, she has built a career at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and operations—helping organizations modernize how healthcare works for the people who rely on it most. This work includes launching innovation portfolios for complex Medicaid populations, building venture partnerships with emerging health tech companies, and designing new value based care models and bringing them to scale in large healthcare organizations. She is passionate about developing future leaders, challenging conventional thinking, and pushing healthcare organizations to move faster, think bigger, and work smarter.
Jenny spent the bulk of her career prior to 2026 at UnitedHealthcare in executive roles leading policy strategy, product innovation, digital & technology management, corporate strategic planning and most recently serving as CEO of UnitedHealthcare’s Kansas Community Health Plan. In Kansas she led a high performing managed care organization overseeing benefits for more than 165,000 Medicaid and DSNP individuals. She is now an independent healthcare consultant supporting healthcare tech organizations, early stage care delivery companies and venture firms forge the next generation of solutions to transform healthcare.
